TY Europe regards the safety and well being of our students as the most important aspect of our work and because of this our application process is very intensive in the following ways;

The application form is very detailed, we require considerable information about both families in order to made the best possible match between the two students and their families.

All families are vetted.

Family references are checked.

A School Reference is required and copy of Junior Certificate Results or recent school reports are included with the application form.

We invite you to come and meet us in Limerick where possible.

A telephone interview for students is part of the application process.

Each family must cover the student’s fully comprehensive travel/accident insurance for their teenager while away from home and public liability insurance cover.

All students require a valid European Health Card.

TY Europe has full Professional Indemnity Insurance.

TY Europe representatives are contactable by telephone during office hours before, during and after an exchange.
